This Privacy Policy explains how Pool Acquisition(“Pool Acquisition,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use poolacquisition.com(the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you request a route evaluation or submit a buy/sell inquiry, we collect your name, email, phone number, company name, U.S. state, and details about your pool-cleaning route (monthly recurring billing, number of accounts, payment type, customer tenure, equipment and pool condition, route density, labor cost, and estimated repair revenue).
- Account information.If you log in, we use passwordless “magic link” sign-in tied to your email address.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our servers and infrastructure receive your IP address, browser type, and basic request logs, which we use for security and abuse prevention (including rate limiting).
- Cookies & similar technologies.With your consent, we use analytics and advertising cookies/pixels (see “Cookies and advertising” below).
How we use information
- To calculate and deliver your route valuation and email you the results.
- To respond to buy/sell inquiries and provide our services.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To build aggregated, de-identified insights about route valuations and the market.
- With consent, to measure and improve our advertising.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with:
- Supabase: database and authentication hosting.
- Vercel: website hosting and infrastructure.
- Resend: to send transactional and result emails.
- Meta (Facebook) and Google: only if you accept advertising cookies, to measure ad performance. This may be considered “sharing” for targeted advertising under some U.S. state laws; you can opt out via the cookie banner or the “Cookie preferences” link in our footer.
- Authorities or others when required by law, or to protect our rights and users.
Cookies and advertising
When you first visit, we ask for your consent before loading any analytics or advertising tools (such as the Meta Pixel and Google tags). If you decline, those tools do not load. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer. Essential cookies needed to run the Site and keep it secure are always on.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (including California residents under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or “sharing.” To make a request, email privacy@poolacquisition.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
The Site is for business users and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
